Welcome to Kantale Base Hospital, Sri Lanka

Base Hospital Kantale provides basic health care facilities to around 100,000 population. Located in between Habarana and Trincomalee by the side of the Kandy – Trincomalee main road and in a friendly environment, it has OPD services up to 8.00 p.m. on weekdays. This hospital is equipped with general Surgical, Medical, Gyn/Obs, Paediatrics, ICU and PBU. The hospital has 240 beds for in patients services.

DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE

Dr.-D.G.-Malinton-CostaEstablished in the year 1960, Base Hospital Kantale is the only hospital under the line ministry at present in the district of Trincomalee. It has a reputed history of serving armed forces casualties and civilian casualties in the year 2006 as the historical war of Sri Lanka started in ‘Mavilaru’ where it lead to the end of 30 years of war. Having 4 major facilities as Medical, Surgical, Gyn/Obstetrics and Paediatrics, the hospital also caters for Dermatology, Psychiatry and Ophthalmology patients. With the vision and mission in our minds our hope is to provide a comprehensive quality care to our patients.
